Come by and listen to live music from Hope Griffin on Friday, November 23rd at 8pm! Hope Griffin is a Folk/Americana singer and songwriter from Anchorage, Alaska. Since moving to North Carolina, she has been named the “Best Acoustic/Folk Band” and “Best Singer/Songwriter” in western North Carolina. This year, she has been on the road promoting her latest album release with her longtime bandmate, Jamie Leigh Bennet.

The Sustainable Classroom Walking Tour debuts on October 19th with an exploration of downtown Carrboro and West Franklin Street in Chapel Hill, as an alternative and equally engaging experience to the standard Sustainable Classroom. The tour will begin at 8:30 am at Open Eye Cafe, home of Carrboro Coffee Roasters and will end at Crook’s Corner. Places in between will include Fifth Season Gardening Co. Carrboro, Acme Food & Beverage Co., Lantern Restaurant & Midway Community Kitchen. Participants include Kevin Callaghan, Andrea Reusing, Justin Burdett, Gary Crunkleton, Sean Umstead, Kathleen Purvis, Jason Smith, Clark Barlowe, Melissa Green Katrincic, Wyatt Dickson and more! Hugh, from Willow Way Creations, will be back at the Open Eye on October 13th at 8 pm bringing his Americana/Indie Folk blend of fine originals and fan favorite covers.
To ensure the safety of our customers and staff, we will be closing at 6pm on Thursday, September 13th and remaining closed all day Friday, September 14th. However, our current plan is to resume our 7am-midnight hours on Saturday, September 15th.
